Shefali Gupta is a contemporary abstract expressionist based in Surat, India. Her works revolve around the connection of spirituality with the self and nature, unfolding as inner landscapes of healing, transformation, and self-discovery. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas with palette knives she layers raw, textured forms guided by a reflective exploratory process of mind, emotion, and energy, allowing each story to surface in unfiltered, intuitive dialogues between light and depth.
Her journey into art began in 2005 during her studies at the London College of Fashion, UK, where creative exploration opened her to abstraction and the recent mentorship with Sir Charanjeet Singh has been instrumental in shaping her path as an emerging yet deeply reflective artist.
Antar Yatra: The Inner Odyssey is Shefali Gupta’s first body of work, born from intuitive meditation and pranic energy practices (2013–14). Each canvas is an unfiltered outpouring of spiritual experience—charting a journey from illusion to awakening, turbulence to transcendence. Her Inspiration to Freedom series sets the tone for a practice that continues to invite viewers into contemplative spaces where canvas becomes a mirror of inner clarity.
